The client is the leading global provider of business information solutions to professionals in law firms, corporations, government, law enforcement, tax, accounting, academic institutions and risk and compliance assessment.
The CUSTOMER RELATIONS MANAGERS is responsible for the further development of customer relations within the appointed portfolio (currently Government & Media - Benelux). He/she has a direct reporting line to the Head of Sales Benelux and works intensively together with the Account Managers and Client Development Executive appointed to the same portfolio.
The Customer Relations Manager is responsible for the exploration of market opportunities initiation of high level conversations with customers in the Benelux region in order to deeply understand their vision and needs. This results in offering solutions and propositions that meet the customer's specific needs, exceed sales targets and generating revenue. The regional areas of the business unit are described as Benelux and Channels (eg. Scandinavia, South- and East Europe, Russia, Middle East and Latin America). In some of these areas the client works closely with distributors to reach customers.

The CUSTOMER RELATIONS MANAGER:
  • Develops and executes a dedicated relation management strategy and tactics based on the solutions strategy of the company;
  • Maintains and further develops (key) accounts within the appointed portfolio (currently Government & Media - Benelux);
  • Grows revenue by achieving cross sell and up sell opportunities;
  • Increases overall customer satisfaction, eg by developing (and executing) training programmes;
  • Maintains action plans for all major opportunities and reviews (bi) weekly with the Head of Sales Benelux;
  • Maintains records of sales visits, appointments, contacts and sales campaigns in the CRM system to provide timely management information;
  • Ensures that all proposals and invitations to tender are delivered upon, accurately and follow the LexisNexis standards and that they are correctly authorized for technical and commercial acceptability;
  • Actively engages in (solution sales) projects upon request;
  • Builds strong relationships with customers and stakeholders to develop multiple relationships at all levels and build trust and confidence with users, key contacts, managers and C-level executives to increase revenue opportunities;
  • Demonstrates the products supplied by LexisNexis knowledgeably and professionally;
  • Liaises with and educates customers and colleagues through transferring subject matter expertise in areas such as product portfolio and product solutions;
  • Intensively works with colleagues, especially within the Marketing, Sales and Solutions & Business Development departments;
  • Develops and maintains relations with internal and external business partners, suppliers and customers.
The CANDIDATE:
  • Minimum Bachelor degree level;
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in similar role;
  • Has advisory skills and experience;
  • High level of initiative and self motivation, with the ability to work in a team environment;
  • Experience in developing training programmes and actual training of customers;
  • Good networking, presentation and communication skills at all levels;
  • Excellent knowledge of the Dutch and English language, verbal and writing;
  • Ability to motivate and stimulate colleagues and customers;
  • Excellent understanding of online products, solutions and databases;
  • Ability to effectively present LexisNexis products and solutions in a customer-facing environment using a communication style appropriate to the audience;
  • Ability to effectively handle multiple activities and reprioritize when necessary to ensure (revenue) goals are achieved;
  • Ability to effectively deal with changing expectations or challenges with clients as well as changes within LexisNexis product and service offerings;
  • Ability to keep abreast of current and future competitive offerings in the appointed region and communicate to cross-functional team to ensure LexisNexis product offerings are differentiated and value-adding;
  • Acts as a "Role Model"
  • Team player.
The EMPLOYER:
  • This role requires incidental travel to other business units or client sites;
  • This is a fulltime job, 36 hrs a week.
