For the Amsterdam office we are seeking a Senior Research Consultant. The succesfull candidate will be expected to work efficiently on their own initiative, in partnership with a number of consultants. He/she will typically work on international assignments for global clients, primarily with the Amsterdam based team, but also with colleagues in other offices.

The Research Consultant's immediate goals will be to find 'best in class' candidates for the clients and partnering on business development presentations. Research is an essential ingredient in quality service and therefore a core asset of the firm.

The SENIOR RESEARCH CONSULTANT primary responsibilies will be:

• Support business development efforts by providing information on a potential new client company and related industry segments, competitors and potential target companies;
• Co-ordinate the preparation of new business proposals or presentations;
• Assist in the development of the assignments search strategy including determination and structure of the target universe and the identification of relevant sources and prospects;
• Identify and profile potential candidates and/or sources for competitive new client meetings, special pre-search projects and regular search assignments, based on both comprehensive desk based research and telephone research;
• Building the knowledge base. Proactively track industry developments, reviewing and sharing relevant sector and market trends.

CANDIDATE profile:

• Academic degree;
• A minimum of 6 years' relevant work experience;
• Hands-on experience with electronic information systems;
• Fluency in English is required;
• Succes in this position is characterised by attention to detail and a sense of urgency, discretion and tact.
